Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Wednesday's Observations features one of the last colts by Galileo (Ire) still to race.

14.45 Redcar, Novice, £20,000, 2yo, 7fT
LAST GALILEO (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is, as his name suggests, one of the limited final crop by Coolmore's late great monarch and he debuts for an expectant Yuesheng Zhang who purchased this rare commodity for what could be a bargain €200,000 at the 2023 Goffs Orby Book 1. Out of the group 3-winning juvenile Bye Bye Birdie (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) and a full-brother to the fellow Ballydoyle black-type scorer Delphi (Ire), the Karl Burke-trained G1 Futurity Trophy entry encounters five peers with the benefit of experience on this racecourse bow.
